It’s the latest twist in the ongoing saga between the two tech giants.
After Netflix started phasing out its own Amazon Prime membership program last year, Amazon launched its own, a way for users to keep watching its own shows and movies for free.
Netflix said it was offering its Prime members the ability to keep streaming Netflix content through the company’s Prime Video service.
But this week, Amazon began phasing in the removal of its own service, saying it wanted to give its customers the choice to make their own subscription choices.
Netflix has denied that it’s pushing customers to choose between its Prime Video and Amazon’s own Prime service.
Amazon has said it has made no such push to its Prime customers, and Amazon Prime Video has been free for years.
But a lot of people, including some of Netflix’s own members, said they didn’t want to miss out on a great service they’d paid for.
