Posted September 10, 2018 12:17:00 Amazon, Apple, and Google have announced a new integration in their mobile apps, letting users stream music and videos on multiple devices at once.
The service is called “Stream On,” and it offers the ability to stream music from your Amazon Music Unlimited account on one device and a Spotify subscription on another.
Spotify said that users can sign up for Stream On via an Apple or Android app, and it will automatically sign them up for a Spotify account if they sign up on the Amazon app.
The app will show you a list of all the music you have signed up for and how many of those songs you have.
The Spotify account is the only one you need to sign up.
“We’ve listened to what you’ve been asking for, and are pleased to announce that Stream On is now available on all Android and Apple devices,” Spotify said.
“It allows you to stream the same songs, albums, and playlists from your Spotify account across multiple devices and services, even if you’re connected to the same Wi-Fi network.”
This is a pretty neat feature for anyone who uses Spotify, especially if you are just looking for a simple way to stream one music stream to another person without having to switch over to another app.
It’s not as convenient as it sounds, however, and if you want to add additional devices to the stream, you’ll have to add those devices as well.
“The more people you add, the more your streams will grow,” Spotify added.
“To help you get started, we’re also introducing Stream On for iOS users.”
